Medicine Hat is a city of 65,000 people located in the western Canadian province of Alberta. It is three hours from Calgary by car or 50 minutes by air.
Its winters are warmed by southwest winds known as Chinooks with an intermediate ski hill 40 minutes away and Banff National Park about 4 hours away. Medicine Hat has the most hours of sunlight of any city in Canada.
